Marcello Silvio Busato
Born in Milan in 1977, Marcello Silvio Busato studied at the School of Violin Antonio Stradivari of Cremona. He lives and works in Berlin since 2002. As a luthier he worked on the design and restoration of musical instruments. Mostly he’s active in the field of improvised music. He collaborated with many musicians from European experimental scene, especially with Chris Abrahams, Leonid Soybelmann, Andrea Ermke, Axel Dörner, Margareth Kammerer, Christoph Kurzmann, Ignaz Schick, Thomas Charbonnel, Arthur Rother, Pablo Juanes, Tobias Delius, Els Vanderweyer, and Antoine Chessex. He took part in percussion ensembles led by Nathan Fuhr. In the theater, he composed the music for a play directed by Michelangelo Contini. He is a drummer of The Somnambulist group which toured around Europe.
